Simon Newton

Simon is currently the UK and Ireland General Manager at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, a position he has held since June 2020.

Prior to this he was head of the EU/Int Neuroscience Business Unit at Jazz.  

During Simon’s 26 year career in pharmaceuticals he has had the opportunity to work across all stages of the life cycle of medicines in global, regional and local roles at AstraZeneca, GSK, Allergan, Ipsen and most recently at Jazz Pharmaceuticals.  Simon has lived and worked in France and the USA and holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham. 

Simon has been a member of the ABPI board since June 2022 and is the co-chair of the ABPI Smaller Companies Forum and in March 2024 was appointed Vice Chair of the EMG.
