Delivering the UK's Life Sciences Manufacturing Strategy

While acknowledging the UK’s historical strength in Life Sciences innovation and medicines manufacturing, the July 2021 Life Sciences Vision (LSV) also recognised the significant reduction in medicines manufacturing capacity over the last 25 years, with 7000 jobs lost and a reduction in capacity of 25%.

Reversing this decline and fulfilling the ambition set out in the LSV is the core focus of the Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership (MMIP), which represents the voice of medicines manufacturers in the UK.
