Project Aims and Objectives

  • Create a deployable & scalable digital platform for HF diagnosis & treatment initiation.
  • Prospectively validate AI analysis of echocardiogram images in pragmatic cohort.
  • Create AI models to:
    • Identify those at highest risk of having HF.
    • Support clinical triage and prioritisation of those at highest risk.

Achievements & Milestones

  • Waiting times reduced from 12 months to 6 weeks (Jan-Aug 2021)
  • Streamlined pathway with greater efficiency and increased capacity.
  • Comprehensive HF consultant management plan vs standalone tests.
  • HF consultant can remotely manage 20 patients per clinical session vs 10 new patients face to face.
