The ABPI welcomed the announcement

Responding to the manufacturing fund, ABPI Chief Executive Richard Torbett said:

“This announcement will strengthen our sector and help the government realise its Vision for Life Sciences. Such funding was called for by our members, who are keen to invest in the latest manufacturing technologies in the UK.

Investing in hi-tech, UK manufacturing has never been more important. We look forward to hearing more about how the Fund will work and continuing to work with Government to make a real difference to UK growth as well as resilience to future pandemics and climate change.”
