John McGinley

John McGinley is Country President and Managing Director of Pfizer UK. 

John has held a variety of leadership roles over the past twenty years with responsibilities across Pfizer’s therapy areas, including primary care medicines and vaccines, the Covid-19 pandemic response, and Pfizer’s hospital products business.  He previously served as international head of Pfizer’s cardiovascular business, European commercial lead for the hospital business unit and managing director and head of the hospital business of Pfizer Germany.  Earlier in his career, John was the healthcare commercial leader for the Wyeth nutrition franchise in the UK. Most recently he has been a member of the ABPI board, since 2023.

John holds a doctorate in biotechnology from the University of Ulster.
